All hail the Queen of Coats!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited Edinburgh Castle today on their first official joint appearance in Scotland and their fourth appearance on Meghan's whirlwind "Getting to Know You" tour around Britain in the months leading up to their wedding on May 19th.
The royal lovebirds have been drawing crowds of hundreds of well-wishers everywhere they go and today was no exception. As they have done with each appearance, the couple spent plenty of time talking to people in the crowd as they arrived at the Esplanade in front of the castle. Harry even went out of his way to retrieve a Scottish flag that one young fan dropped while waiting behind a railing to meet the prince. He stopped what he was doing when he noticed the child's flag fell to the ground, walked over to where she was standing and returned it to her. Meghan, who received countless flower and gifts from the crowd, then walked over to join her fiancé to take photos.

The Royal Marines, of which Harry is Colonel-in-Chief, also were there to greet the couple. The Marine band's mascot, a Shetland pony named Cruachan, nipped at Harry while the prince tried to pet him.
Harry and Meghan also visited Social Bite, a local sandwich shop that donates all of its profits to causes that tackle homelessness.
While much has been made of the couple's somewhat dressed-down style for their official engagements—Harry has been wearing open collar shirts and pullover sweaters while Meghan favors wide legged trousers instead of dresses—the duchess-to-be is quickly becoming "the Queen of Coats."
For the trip to Scotland, Meghan wore a fashionable tartan coat in a black watch plaid that is closely associated with Scotland—a gesture that must have been appreciated by her Scottish hosts. The Burberry coat (which retails for $2,895) is still available, but is sure to sell out just like all the other outerwear Meghan has worn when appearing with Prince Harry.
Minutes after photos of Meghan in the white wrap coat by Line the Label worn for her engagement announcement appeared online, the Canadian brand's website crashed when as fashion fans flocked to the site to order it. The coats she's worn on trips to Nottingham, Brixton in south London and Cardiff have also sold out after her appearances.
Meghan and Harry will attend a formal reception tonight at the Queen's Scottish royal residence, the Palace of Holyroodhouse, to celebrate the "Scottish Year of Young People." And for more on everyone's favorite lovebirds, here's Why Harry and Meghan's Wedding Is Good for Business in Britain.
