Lungile Makhathini is a talented and experienced Senior Manager with a passion for driving revenue assurance and risk management in the telecommunications industry. Throughout her career, Lungile has been committed to maintaining the integrity of financial systems and implementing controls that prevent revenue leakage.
Lungile holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and Honors Degree in Internal Auditing from UNISA and has over 10 years of experience in the telecommunications sector. She has held various positions in MTN South Africa and MTN Group, starting as a Graduate, Analyst, Design Authority for Measurement, Revenue Assurance Manager, and now Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management Senior Manager, where she consistently demonstrated her ability to drive process efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the bottom line.
In her current role as Senior Manager Revenue Assurance at MTN South Africa, Lungile is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that ensure the effective identification, mitigation, and prevention of revenue leakage. She is also leading the RAFM team’s transformation to Business Assurance.
Lungile is a dynamic and forward-thinking professional who is enthusiastic about innovation and the effective use of technology in business. She is a natural leader who excels at team building, stakeholder management, and driving performance. In her spare time, Lungile enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
